Backpack

July 29, 2006

Backpack is the only web app that I pay for. There’s a limited free version, but for $5 a month it’s a great value for the full version. I use Backpack to manage my work and personal projects and information. I’ve used other tools over the years, but nothing else I’ve found combines such ease of use with such a powerful set of tools.

Zooomr

Zooomr is a new photo sharing site, similar to the already-popular flickr. I’m giving this a try because for the time being, bloggers are granted a free 2.5 GB account (the default upload limit per month is 50 MB, which still beat’s flickr’s 20 MB a month).

For more details, check out the Zooomr Blog.

Here’s my first photo uploaded to Zoomr:

Enjoy!

Wridea

Wridea is a great way to organize your thoughts for writing projects. I have been using it both for work and for my freelance writing and it’s a great alternative to traditional outlines and even wikis, which I had been using.

The interface can get some getting used to, but once you do, it’s very easy to use to organize your ideas.
