I'm beta testing a new service called claimID. Even with a name as uncommon as mine, there are many different "Chris Lerches" on the intenet. There's a drummer, a race engineer, a lacrosse player, and even a murder victim. Try Googling yourself and see what you get. If you're looking for a job (or a date) you can expect people to be looking you up via search engines.

claimID is a way for you to list the parts of the internet that are really you. Very useful to pass along to a potential employer, etc.

Starting Over

I've moved from Blogger to WordPress and in doing so, decided not to import my old blog. Most of it was old posts that I can incorporate into the pages you see across the top.

I hope to update more frequently, focusing on family news, writing, and web 2.0 technologies, especially as they pertain to libraries.
